Even today, savings of more than \u20ac20 billion would be possible, around \u20ac9 billion of which would come from medical technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Telemedicine and telemonitoring alone offer potential savings of around \u20ac2.5 billion per year. According to these calculations, the contribution rate for statutory health insurance could be 1.4 percentage points lower in 2045 than in a scenario without these innovations.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to us that the role of medical technology is clearly visible in the study. Systems for outpatient procedures, reliable devices for minimally invasive procedures, and digital solutions for aftercare and monitoring are an integral part of our daily projects.
