A wide variety of challenges.<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

An infusion pump works directly on humans, including children. It is often used in hectic and life-threatening situations: in speeding ambulances or in intensive care units. Extreme reliability and precision are required here. The requirements for an infusion pump are correspondingly diverse. We were responsible for the mechanical development with a correspondingly large number of interfaces to other areas. Starting with industrial design, through electronics development to usability.
Furthermore, precision in the most compact installation space was the task. So we developed a device in which good design is \u201cfilled\u201d with the latest technology down to the last cubic millimetre. The infusion pump provides the required tightness, for example against bursting infusion bags. It continues to function reliably, even if dropped from a height of 1 metre. And thanks to the significantly improved delivery accuracy of the device compared to its predecessor, the risk of incorrect dosing of highly effective drugs and its fatal consequences is significantly reduced.
The result is a pump that exceeds today’s standards. We are proud to have already developed the innovative technology of the future today!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\n\t<\/i>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><strong>Equipment development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We were able to put our system expertise and intercultural competence to good use in the development of the infusion pump. Our system engineers provided support in creating a coherent device concept and integrating key suppliers, and coordinated the mechanical, electronic and software interfaces from Japan to the Netherlands and Hungary.<br \/>\n<\/span> <\/a> <\/div>

We are familiar with both worlds and were involved in both pump and tube development. In this role, we were able to effectively manage the interface between our customer’s two development departments, resulting in a coordinated system.<\/div>\n<p><\/span> <\/a> <\/div>

With over 30 years of experience in complex design surfaces, we were able to work with the industrial designer to develop a harmonious look for this project. We ensured that all technical requirements were met without compromising the design value of the product.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/span> <\/a> <\/div>

\n\t<\/i>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<div class='wp-block-getwid-image-hotspot__tooltip-title'>\n<div class='wp-block-getwid-image-hotspot__tooltip-title'><strong>Compact device design<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class='wp-block-getwid-image-hotspot__tooltip-title'>\nSpace in hospitals is expensive, both in operating theatres and intensive care units. Compact devices have a competitive advantage here. We know how to develop such devices. Using three-dimensional tolerance analyses, among other things, we have developed a device in this project with very high requirements for the internal components to be integrated, which ensures reliable assembly even with high quantities. In the event of servicing, our calculation results also allow complete assemblies to be replaced without adjustment, ensuring quick and uncomplicated repairs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/span> <\/a> <\/div>

We developed a sealing concept that reliably guarantees IPX4 in the smallest of spaces. Through extensive market research, the development of samples and testing, we were able to identify the most suitable sealing concept. For a device that is truly \u2018clean\u2019 on the outside and into which no unwanted substances can enter.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/span> <\/a> <\/div>

Our task was to design the housing and internal functional mechanisms in such a way that the device is always available to patients. We used clever solutions to arrange the internal components in a smart way and designed an extremely rigid device shell using construction tricks. We carried out various drop tests to verify the progress of the development.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/span> <\/a> <\/div>

We are experts in electromechanical systems and were able to use our know-how to achieve optimal \u2018transparency\u2019. We held discussions with suppliers, worked out the complete specifications together with the customer’s development departments and were able to develop the optimal touchscreen using a wide variety of sample designs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/span> <\/a> <\/div>
